Capital Striders!
Today I officially sent off my registration to join the Capital Striders Running Club! I'm pretty excited about it, I've never been a running club member before...
The Striders are a central Iowa running club devoted to helping runners of all abilities to 'extract the maximum joy from running'. They put on several races a year including Loop the Lake, an 8K race around Greys Lake in the spring and the Capital Pursuit, a 5K and 10 mi. race around Des Moines Iowa in the fall. Both are excellent races where you can run with some really talented runners. I always learn something new during these runs.
