Crazy for a cause

I am a runner, therefore I am crazy. I know that my friends and co-workers definitely think so. I like to think that I use my craziness for good sometimes by getting people to give me money for a cause and in return they get to watch me run until I can't breathe anymore...

Currently my cause is the American Lung Association here in Iowa. I know many people who have been affected by asthma and lung cancer and I feel that this is one way I can try to bring runners and other people together to fight these diseases and make a small difference in the world. If we all chip in a bit, we can defeat these diseases and their causes.

I told myself that I wouldn't post a link to this, but I really want to make as much of a difference as I can. So if you're feeling generous feel free to click on the link to my team's site for the 801 Power Climb. We're climbing a 41 story building here in Des Moines for charity and all money raised goes to the Iowa branch of the ALA.

I'll make sure to post my race report and some pictures from the event on the blog once we're done. The event is on Feb. 25th, so please hassle me if I don't post soon after.

Thanks everyone for listening and let me know about your noble causes as well!

Kevin,

Thanks! I need all the luck I can get right now. :) That climb is one running event that still makes me have butterflies. The stairs take no prisoners for sure!

I'll make sure to post some pictures from the top!
