Cardio, but not running - (20/84)
Hey everyone! We're starting to get a little way along through the workout plan! We're almost a quarter of the way to the end! Now is the time when people start noticing that you're doing something different and that things are changing. My girlfriend's parents noticed that she had lost weight today, she seemed pretty happy about that and I know it's nice when people notice. I am starting to notice a change in how hard working out seems and that I can lift and run much further than I did before. I know that 4 miles seems much easier now than it ever did before. I know it is the long distance running that has made that possible. I am looking forward to seeing what changes happen after my 10 mile run tomorrow. For my workout today I did two full taekwondo classes. That worked out to two hours of cardio more or less. We even took the second class and made it into a cardio/plyometrics class by doing lateral jumps over a rope suspended across the room. It was a lot of fun and works out to be really challenging! It was a good class and I am enjoying being able to get out on the floor and be a student for a little while. I think it is important now that I am teaching class more to make sure to get in class and be a student so I don't forget what it is like. It made for a good workout, but now I am resting and getting ready to plan for tomorrow's long run. Another record distance is in the cards for me, but I hope my shins and right ankle don't shorten the run a bit. I'll let you all know how it goes tomorrow.
See you on the roads folks!
Alex
