Lifting night, upper body - (10/84)

Still perfect! I'm keeping up with my lifting program and keeping up with the running for the most part as well. I've gotten a bit away from my diet, but I am going to give it my best to get back to that tomorrow with a renewed focus. As far as the weights go, I really enjoy that quivery feeling in my muscles after the workout is done. It lets me know that I worked hard and made some progress. On to the workout report!
We started off with bench press as usual but I moved my max up to 95# tonight! That makes me happy. It shouldn't be long before I'm back above the century mark on that lift. I also raised the weight on dumbbell flyes by 5# per set. I think I'll be making some good progress there before long. Next we moved on to shoulder lifts. No changes in weight or exercise here, side raises and front raises for a good superset. On to the back lifts where we did 4 sets of dumbbell rows and 2 peak sets of deadlifts. I still really like deadlifts, I can always feel them working and I get to put a lot of power into them. After that we did tricep lifts with dumbbell crossbody and then I finished with my usual peak sets of bench dips. I'd still like to hear of another dumbbell lift for triceps that really targets them. Finally we finished off with the traditional incline dumbbell curls for the biceps with 4 regular sets and two peak sets. I think I might move the weight up on those soon, but I'll keep you posted.
That's it for training tonight! Tomorrow is a 4 mile easy run, I hope it doesn't rain! If it does it will be good practice. I'll just have to make sure it isn't lightning or doing anything else unsafe. I'll be sure to have a run report tomorrow.
Sorry about no pics for the last couple of days, blogger seems to be having an issue. I'll check it out if it doesn't get better soon.
See you on the roads folks!
Alex
