Lower Body lifting round 2! - (8/84)

Another day, another workout! Today was lower body weightlifting and I wanted to get the workout done early so I can get to bed on time to get some more rest. I also have an early and long day at work tomorrow, so I need to get to bed on time. With the workout in the bag, I just need to blog the results! On to the report!

Dumbbell lunges were good, but I got pretty tired out easily. I know this feeling from longer runs and I think that working on strength in this area will benefit me during those tough parts of the run. We'll see how that goes. Walking starter lunges are still tough and I like them for developing both physical and mental toughness. Deadlifts are still a favorite. I feel that they work on my hamstrings and also I get a benefit for the rest of my body with a whole body lift. Calf raises are really deceptive. In your first set, you feel like the work is much easier than it should be and you should have gone with heavier weights. But by the end of the workout your calves are screaming! Crunches were a bit easier tonight, but I think it will take a bit longer to add more to the workout. Overall it was a good workout and it took about the right amount of time which is important when you're busy. This means I'm still perfect for following my plan and I'll keep working on following it going forward.

See you on the roads folks!
Alex
