"Rest Day" - sort of... (7/84)

Well, the first week is done! One week of working out in my 12 week plan. I feel like things are working even though when I step on the scale it doesn't seem so. Although I originally started this whole working out thing a while ago when my weight peaked at around 205 pounds. So I guess I'm still down about 10 pounds from my top weight. I seem to be on a bit of a plateau right now, but I'm sure with the weightlifting and running I'll get down under 190 soon enough. I just need to get the muscle going to 'burn the butter' as Adam says. :)

I didn't workout on Sunday, but my girlfriend and I went for a 5.5 mile walk to scout out a local running trail for my longer runs coming up. Also, it was just too beautiful of a day here in Iowa to not go outside. It was over 50° F and that's the first really warm day of the year for us, so we HAD to get out for a walk. It was a great day outside.

I'll post the workout report for today later this evening. I know I'm planning to get some more rest to try and recover better, I have been staying up too late lately.

On to the weight report!

Current weight: 194#
Current body fat: 25%

I'll keep working on this, it will happen. Thanks to Jason down in Georgia for letting me know about his workout plan. Jason, I'm going to check that out! Keep letting me know how it's going! If you get a chance, check out his great blog Running for my life.

Thanks everyone! See you on the roads!
Alex
