Running night, hoorah! - (9/84)

Tonight I taught taekwondo class and played along in class a bit. I tried to use some of the stretching and warmups in class to help out with my stiff calves. I just like those warmups and stretches to get everything limbered up. I feel that they really help. On to the run report.

I ran 3.01 miles tonight on an old route that I haven't run in a while. It was nice to renew my familiarity with this route. The weather couldn't have been better. It is about 65° F here and almost no wind. Just a light breeze to keep you cool as you run. I love running on nights like these! They really are a gift. I ran a mostly flat route with one big hill for a challenge about midway. The big change tonight was that I bought some Navy SEAL cadence to run to. Man those really help to keep you going when you're gettng tired! I may have to figure out a way to have all cadence at the end of the half marathon, I think I could run forever listening to those. It was a good run overall as I averaged a 9:24 pace. I'm happy with that.

See you on the roads folks!
Alex
