We have liftoff! - (19/84)

Today's workout was upper body lifting. You know how sometimes you have a hard time motivating yourself to get in the gym? Tonight was that night for me. I found that I kept procrastinating and didn't get down to my home gym until around 10:30 pm! I really need to not do that. I'm just working on getting this post done and then it's time to head to the shower and to bed. I also found that it's harderto workout when you're workout partner is out of town. :-) Overall it was a good workout and my finally coming through to workout was rewarded with the good feeling I have now and a still perfect record of working out on schedule! On to the workout report!

I really burned through the exercises at a fast pace tonight. I really wanted to burn calories and work up a sweat during tonight's workout. I started off with bench presses. I'm still lifting 95# for my top set on those, I don't think I'll be moving up for a while. That's still a really challenging weight. I then moved on to dumbbell flyes which felt really good, I could really feel them working! For shoulders I combined side raises and front raises. They're both really simple lifts, but I feel they do a really good job on my shoulders. For my back I did a combination of 4 sets of dumbbell rows for my lats and then 2 peak sets of deadlifts for my lower back and some leg strength which I feel has been coming through in my running. Moving on to triceps I did 4 sets of dumbbell crossbody and 2 sets of bench dips. To finish up the workout I did 6 sets of incline curls which are my favorite lift. I just like how much they isolate the arms. Overall it was a good and really sweaty, humid workout. I'm glad that I got it done though, it's just one step of the plan.

See you on the roads folks!
Alex
