The Law of Inertia - (31/84)

I have discovered a truth.
Lex I: Corpus omne perseverare in statu suo quiescendi vel movendi uniformiter in directum, nisi quatenus a viribus impressis cogitur statum illum mutare.
More commonly known in English as: An object at rest will remain at rest unless acted upon by an external and unbalanced force. An object in motion will remain in motion unless acted upon by an external and unbalanced force.
I am an object at rest. Or at least I have been for the last two days. A couple of tough days at work combined with the leftover tiredness from being on the road for the entire weekend conspired with my usual lack of workout motivation to keep me from the weights and the road for two days. Today I made an effort to generate the 'external and unbalanced' force to get going again. I'll try not to lapse again but we'll see how I keep going. All of you out there are what got me in the gym tonight, so please accept my humble thank you for that.
Workout report:
I started off with dumbbell lunges which went well, but I did notice that my balance is a bit off. I think that's what a couple of days layoff will do for you. For hamstrings I really struggled energy wise through deadlifts and felt a bit winded at the end of my sets. I think I just need to get back into the groove. Calf raises went well, I think I'm really beginning to get the form back! And finally I finished up with crunches just to keep working on my core. Overall it was a good workout, I just feel a bit off. I think that keeping with it will be better for me than anything else though so I am going to do my best.
Weight report:
I ate really badly in Texas and didn't get too much working out in and it shows on the scale. A few steps back this week.
Current body weight: 194#
Current body fat: 24%
I think this is just a bump in the road, but I'll try to get back on the straight and narrow for another 29 days and I'm sure things will go well.
See you on the roads folks!
Alex

Alex, traveling is hard on both the workout and the diet. I commend you for getting right back into it. I really enjoy your blog.
Thanks Cory!
I was just checking out your blog and I'm going to have to add it to my list to read everyday!
Thanks for the support! It makes it easier to get off my butt when I know people are out there expecting me to post again.
