Getting back to work
On this blog. I really need to make more time to post here. I have gotten some great feedback in the last week or so that makes me really want to communicate out here more. A lot of new people have commented and written in. I appreciate all of you that have written in. It really helps to have all of you out there and checking in on me.My trip to Maryland was a bit of a step back, too much rich food and cake during the wedding festivities and too little chance to get out running and no gym to lift weights took away from my usual calorie burn.
Plans coming up are a lot of housework, quite a bit of running and some more taekwondo for my working out. Life looks to be pretty busy with family and housework so that will make things interesting coming up.
I am planning on working on the 50k training plan to get to the challenge and see if I can push myself to complete that goal.
Let me know how all of you are doing out there and how your training plans are going. I'll keep checking all of your blogs and commenting there. We all need to stick together.
See you on the roads everyone!
Alex

Alex,
I've just found your blog.
I am a neophyte to distance running. I ran my first 5K race just a week ago.
I have been running for a year and a half, but just started training for a half-marathon that I am thinking of participating in during the month of June.
I've run the distance many a time.
Thanks for sharing your elation in your blog! It gives me something to look forward to!
Charles,
Great to hear from you! If you've just ran your first 5k, Congratulations! You're on the road now!
We all have that first race where we felt the accomplishment of crossing that finish line and getting an official time. It's a defining moment, no matter when it happens.
The half marathon will give you the same experience again, but on a much bigger level. Let me know how the training goes and the race!
Thanks again!
Alex
