TKD = Pain!!!

In taekwondo we all know that the longer you've been out of class, the longer you will hurt after you return to class. I think I'm going to know what that is like tomorrow.

I just got back from a really physical black belt workout. We have them once per month where we get all of our black belts together and we work on advanced techniques and discuss teaching techniques for more basic moves. Tonight we went for a good ol' lung burning, muscle shredding workout. We lined up in one big shoulder to shoulder line and each of us ran the whole group up and down the entire basketball floor twice. We're all pretty good at coming up with combinations that burn out your entire body.

After the workout my feet were totally sore from pivoting and spinning on the rough gym floor and my legs were totally spent and out of energy. I was pretty sore, but it's a good hurt. :-) I know it will make me a better martial artist in the end. I'll have to get back to running tomorrow and we'll see if that works out some of the inevitable kinks.
