Shred-mill!!!
That felt GREAT!!!!Went down to my friend Jo's condo again tonight (way too cold... thx Jo!) and got a quick 30 minute run in. I'm not sure what part of the running pantheon was in my favor tonight, but I hope it comes back for the half marathon.
I started off at a 5.2 mph (about 11:32 pace) just to warm up. That seemed really easy, but I thought I'd stick with it. After about 15 minutes I kicked it up to about 6.4 mph (about 9:22 pace) and felt pretty good there, but it still wasn't too fast and I felt pretty good keeping up. I decided to go for it and ran the last 3 minutes at 7.4 mph (an 8:06 pace) and still felt good! I can't believe it.
That was one of the best runs I've had in a long time. It's funny how they can sneak up on you. I'm going along well in the Bloody Tinkoff 200x challenge and I'm feeling good.
I have my first meeting with my trainer tomorrow, so we'll see how that goes and keep it going for the year!
See you on the roads folks!
Alex

Alex,
Great job with the workout!
I personally hate the dreadmill too, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. Running the mill is better than nothing at all. Of course where I am from the weather is good enough to run outside year round without too much trouble.
Keep up the good work, and good luck with the Half!
Thanks Tim!
Some days I don't mind the treadmill, but I share the dread at times.
I'm hoping someday to move to a warmer environment, although I'm sure that the summer down there isn't a piece of cake either...
No, it is not, but I was injured most of this past summer so I cannot completely attest to that. Plus, I do most of my runs way before the break of dawn so it is cooler then.
